With more than four years of residential homebuilding experience and an additional two years of management consulting background, Colin Gallagher established Blue Lion Construction Company in the fall of 2006 to focus on the metro Atlanta custom homebuilding market.

The mission of the company was then, and is still now, to continue to explore and pursue a passion of the materials, techniques and processes of building a home, while openly and honestly sharing and devoting that passion to homeowners and clients.

Blue Lion Construction uses three guiding principles to measure the pursuit of its mission: Integrity, Social Responsibility and personal Commitment. 

Integrity represents the structural integrity of each house and personal integrity and honesty in the company’s relationships with homeowners, trade contractors and vendors.

Social Responsibility represents a responsibility to the environment through subscribing to green building programs and standards and a responsibility to enhancing existing infill neighborhoods.

Commitment represents providing homeowners with first rate service, products and value, to continuing to study the sciences and technologies of homebuilding and implementing best practices, to adhering to the architecture of the project and to overcoming industry challenges.

Blue Lion Construction is a member of the National Association of Home Builders and Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association.  Blue Lion Construction is also a proud member of EarthCraft, a green building program and is a State of Georgia licensed contractor. 

In addition to previously earned designations, Colin recently earned his Certified Graduate Builder designation from the National Home Builders Association. He continues to be an avid reader of industry publications such as the Journal of Light Construction, Fine Homebuilding, This Old House, Cottage Living and Green Builder Magazine.
